At Genesis House we understand the value and importance of providing our clients with activities that meet their needs for physical exercise while in residence with us. With that in mind, we recently began offering weekly yoga classes on Friday mornings. The ancient art and science of yoga that began over 4,000 years ago and is now firmly entrenched into Western culture is a highly effective way to strengthen and tone the body, increase flexibility and stamina, create a sense of balance and well being, calm the central nervous system and help manage stress levels. Participation in our yoga program is on a voluntary basis and is taught by a local instructor who interacts with our clients in a warm and compassionate manner.
